Listening Sensations

The sensory host project seeks to take the Japanese tea ceremony as a reference so that the challenge is to design a ritual that improves the interaction between guest and guest, generating a unique experience that involves the senses of the guest. It seeks to make daily life more enjoyable, live in harmony with nature, be people of refined tastes and create better human relationships, all taking into account the contemporary context of Mexico and obtaining as a result a set of objects for the ritual formed by a free series of steps to take with one or more guests.

It was possible to generate a ritual that invites the user to have a transcendental experience with the objects included in the set, it is sought that at the end of the ritual, the guest is highly aware of the essence of the objects he uses day by day, in order to add a value to daily activities in a very profound way.

The ritual consists of the host and his guest remaining in total silence while the host introduces the guest to the respectful and solemn way in which the objects of the ritual should be treated, the guest will have the opportunity to experience the infinite ways of generating sound with the different materials that make up these objects using different techniques and ways of manipulating them. The result should be for the guest to achieve a melody or sound combination to show their host that he is grateful for the hospitality.
